That doesn’t sit too well with Taffy, who is mired in dire financial straits. That is, until George has a sudden change of heart after watching the film Okja, decides to become vegan, and asks to be bought out of the family business. George owns and operates Boyles’ Barbecue, a popular family-run joint in Texas, with his brother, Taffy (Lil Rel Howery).
The title refers to the process of barbecuing meat at low temperatures for long periods of time, during which “a kind of alchemy takes place,” according to George Boyle (Larry Brown). The third episode of Poker Face, “The Stall,” may feel awfully familiar.
